Jim has been in the investment and trust administration industry for nearly 50 years. Jim’s responsibilities include development of investment policy, asset allocation advice, manager due diligence, and investment management services to families and non-profit organizations.

Before joining Clearstead, Jim served as Managing Director of Plimsoll Mark Capital, which is now a Portland, Maine based division of Clearstead Advisors, LLC. Jim received an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated cum laude from Washington and Lee University where he majored in Commerce.

Jim has served on the boards of Seeds of Peace, The Abraham Fund, The Spence School of New York, and The Berkshire School in Massachusetts. He is a retired member of the Dean’s Council at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a past Deacon and member of investment committee at Brick Church. He is a member of the Bank of America Global Wealth Management Administrative Committee and is a member of the Economic Club of New York.
